First official day of blogging. I'm currently indulging in one of my guilty pleasures--old movies, not necessarily "classics" but to me just as good. I just happened upon an airing of "Gidget" (1959) with Sandra Dee and James Darren as Moondoggy. Once I was old enough to stay home alone during the summer months, I'd spend hours watching such movies...Sandra Dee, Doris Day and Rock Hudson, Frankie and Annette, even (yes, I admit it) Elvis movies. That beach and tiki atmosphere, coming of age, singing, dancing...the things teen dreams are made of, and I'm always a sucker for them. Meanwhile, I'm scanning some family photos. Maybe I'll share a few later.
