Thanks for joining me Over Coffee
A writer by passion and profession, I've been writing since I was old enough to know how, so establishing a weblog
seemed a natural progression. By adding a blog to my site, I can speak about my passions and life, share my writing, art
and photos, and comment on current events.

Greetings and Salutations! I have received favorable feedback from visitors about a section on this website which evolved out of my just writing from my heart. A writer by passion and profession, establishing a weblog (blog) seemed a natural progression. I've also received in response to this and other webpages I produce -- in sarcasm and in jest -- comments along the lines of "get a life." I felt that perhaps by adding a blog where I can speak about my passions and life outside these webpages and commenting on current events would demonstrate that I do, in fact, have a life.
So why title it "Over Coffee"? First of all, I adore this black gold especially as lattes, cappuccinos and mochas. Second, think of all the great conversations we share with friends, co-workers, even strangers (new acquaintences) over coffee. It is a natural ice breaker and provides (pardon the pun) common ground for people. Third, coffee houses have long been synonymous with poets, artists and to some degree hippies (free spirits, beatniks, tree huggers, etc.). I write poetry, (attempt to) create works of art and consider myself a little bit of a hippy. Finally, there's something zen about a good cup of coffee--the simplicity of it--water, beans, heat, the enjoy of the moment (being in the present)...even if Zen is more closely associated with tea drinking and ceremonies.
Now, I cannot promise that I will be able to write every day, though I certainly have it a goal to do so. Also, while I am fairly diligent about typing and writing correctly, using proper grammar and avoiding misspellings, I don't intend to be overly self-critical in the proofreading department. (Isn't that part of the joy of a blog...stream of consciousness writing without having the little editor watching every keystroke?)
So, please grab a cup of your favorite java (or tea; I adore that elixor as well), and read what I have on my mind Over Coffee...
