Get Thee to Williams-Sonoma A couple years ago for Christmas, my husband bought me a Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 1-1/2 quart sauce pot. I loved it. Then I used it, and I LOVED it. Now, commercial grade Calphalon is NOT the same as 'Everyday Calphalon,' and it's not cheap...so it's not like common folk like us can afford the $804 set (even when on sale for $499), so last year we bought a new piece, a 10" fry pan/skillet from the same line.
Friday night we went to the mall to look for good athletic shoes (so we can ease into an exercise/fitness routine), and, of course, while there we had to wander through one of my favorite kitchen stores (where we look more than buy, but still fun) which has been the source of our dream pot and pan -- Williams-Sonoma. As my birthday was this weekend, my hubby offered me a small W-S shopping spree. I wasn't going to take him up on the offer until I saw the Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 12" (Omlette) Fry Pan on special sale for $29.95 -- marked down from $115. Well, who could pass that up?! Not me! (Added to the spree were a few good quality spatulas to use with my treasured pieces of cookware.)
Don't know how long it'll last, but if you enjoy cooking like I do and appreciate really GOOD equipment, get thee to Williams-Sonoma. I found it displayed on a small table opposite the cookware shelves in "special offer" box.
Bonus Shoppers' Note: The selection at Footlocker AND Champs sucked especially considering the 'sale prices'...weren't. We found a couple pairs of vegetarian athletic shoes at Modell's with more reasonable price tags instead.
