I was going to post this on Wednesday because we were mighty ticked, but then I didn't want to appear petty. Here's the deal...while I watch FoodTV and HGTV during the week, there are only TWO television shows that I absolutely WILL NOT miss -- I have to watch them every week. They are Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her spin-off Angel.
Now, in December WB quietly announced they were moving Angel to Wednesday nights, which only sucked in so much as that gave me nothing to look forward to on Sunday nights, which are difficult enough since they're so close to Monday morning and filled with anxiety about how your weekend is over already. But, I adjusted. The first new episode aired January 15th giving a slight resolution to the cliffhanger that had been hanging since around Thanksgiving (due to a 6 week broadcasting hiatus). Well, on Wednesday, the 22nd, I had brought a bunch of work home to do and was indeed working on it until 8:56 when I pushed it all aside to feast on my small bit of escapism...to my (our) shock and dismay instead the WB was running the friggin' Wizards' game (basketball). Angel was being pre-empted. A quick trip to WB showed it would air on Saturday.
Well, Saturday night came and we got busy with errands...a trip to The Body Shop for Vitamin E lotion for my very dry winter skin, another stop for fresh coffee beans, a stop at the store for cat food (believe me, you don't want to see the kitties if they DON'T get their "gravy" one night)...and completely forgot that Angel had been inconveniently moved to Saturday night. Completely missed it. Damn! I haven't missed an episode of Angel EVER. So now I'm pissed for the pre-empt and for missing the moved broadcast. Any kind soul have a tape to share before this week's episode airs......
