Thanks for joining me Over Coffee
A writer by passion and profession, I've been writing since I was old enough to know how, so establishing a weblog
seemed a natural progression. By adding a blog to my site, I can speak about my passions and life, share my writing, art

Dr. Todd Friedland found a cat carrier on the steps of the North Windham Animal Hospital when he arrived at work Thursday morning. The cat inside had frozen to death. Friedland speculated that someone left the carrier outside the hospital sometime overnight with a sick cat inside. By the time the vet arrived at 7:30 a.m., however, the cat had been dead for a little over an hour.
The carrier had a blanket, a nice bed and $50 inside. A note attached to the carrier said, "This cat's owner cannot take care of it anymore. Maybe you can find somebody that can." Friedland said he was disgusted and outraged by the incident, noting that the animal hospital is not a shelter.
This cat, without a doubt, suffered a painfully slow and needless death. This was so irresponsible and senseless that I can't find words for it. How could anyone be so deeply stupid? I seriously wish to know since so many stories of this type (like this one as well, for example) seem to occur wherein people claim they "had no idea" that the animal would be hurt or die. I mean, how do these people survive life with such a lack of commonsense?
I may write more on this later, but at the moment I'm too steamed.
