Today, I received the following email and thought I'd share in case any one reading could help...
This female beagle was dropped off at a vet's office by her previous owner who never showed back up to pick her up. After a few days, the vet's office had the Citrus County Animal Control come get her. Now she is scheduled to die--her last day on this earth will be tomorrow...this girl has been someone's faithful companion for 17 YEARS!!
...If there's ANYONE with room in their heart and their homes for a senior girl who just wants to live out her life with dignity please ADOPT this girl before it's too late...This geriatric beagle certainly looks sad--most likely wondering what she did to deserve this fate.

UPDATE: (02.25.03 -- 3:50 pm) I just got an email from a friend who called Citrus County Animal Control around 2 pm today, he was told that this sweet beagle was adopted this morning! HURRAY!!
