Chicken Factor? KFC, recently henpecked by a PETA campaign due to questionable animal welfare practices and policies by providers of the chickens they utilize in their infamous secret recipes, has announced that they will begin using reality television stars in a national television campaign.
Kicking it off the new strategic campaign will be "Bachelorette" Trista Rehn, who apparently has already "got milk" judging by the famous milk mustache she donned in Entertainment Weekly (thanks to small print I was able to determine who the heck she was) and "Joe Millionaire" Evan Marriott. I mean, who WOULDN'T believe him if he says it's 'finger-licking good'?! It's not like he's a well-known liar or anything.
An article at Adage.com analyzes why using 'reality tv stars' to hawk products is so in vogue--they work cheap.
Personally I think they're missing a golden opportunity. What is more synonymous with chickens than fear*? So, why not utilize those brave "Fear Factor" contestants a chance at commercial stardom. What about Charisse Rivers, Holli Joy Lamb, Jason Bowersock or Darlene Randles? Apparently, they'll eat ANYTHING... even Honey BBQ Boneless Wings.

Oh, admit it--even if you don't agree with PETA, it's damn funny! *I know it's a myth.
