Thanks for joining me Over Coffee
A writer by passion and profession, I've been writing since I was old enough to know how, so establishing a weblog
seemed a natural progression. By adding a blog to my site, I can speak about my passions and life, share my writing, art
and photos, and comment on current events.

Money can't buy happiness... But it buys some neat stuff to help you enjoy your misery (hee hee -- giving you happy thoughts). As our state tax refund has already come in, we did a little shopping today for a few gratifications we'd delayed. Phil picked up a Siphon bottle to make soda for homemade chocolate egg cremes, scotch and soda, etc. We also treated ourselves to a lovely (though pricy compared to the grocery store brands) bottle of Zinfindel wine vinegar. Phil is adamant that it will be scrumptous with strawberries (and to my delight I saw that Harris-Teeter has them on sale this week), which should help to combat this snow/winter fatigue.
Me? I got to pick up two DVDs I've been wanting and have patiently waited for...Singin' in the Rain, the special edition, and Gorillas in the Mist on deep discount. I haven't yet blogged much about my admiration obsession with classic Hollywood, film stars and triple (or more) threats like Gene Kelly who acted, sang, danced, directed, wrote, produced, and choreographed for films.
We also stopped at the library to drop off books, and I got to take out eight (yes, EIGHT) cookbooks for fun and recipes...several are JUST DESSERTS. I told you I love non-fiction books. Plus, this afternoon I was having a fantasy moment about opening my own cafe or restaurant. So, I thought I'd feed the fantasy by picking out some new and exotic recipes to try.
