"Aw! You guys made me ink..." Find Nemo near you. As is our custom, Phil and I went to see the new Pixar (I wish I could work there!) production on opening night. Despite our slight frustration at having to wait over two hours due to sold-out shows and weird show times, we were not disappointed by the newest comedic masterpiece. I am consistently amazed and impressed by the originality of their stories as well as the visual feast the artists at Pixar create. We laughed, we cried -- no really -- and we will see it again and again...as I look into my crystal ball and know there is a Finding Nemo in our collection right after A Bug's Life but before Monsters, Inc.. UPDATE - June 13, 2003: We enjoyed this film so much (and had such a miserable Friday...the 13th) that we went to see it again to cheer ourselves up! It worked like a charm. Despite the tragic opening, the comedy combo of Ellen DeGeneres as Dory and Albert Brooks as Marlin can't be beat in this film. And there's even a subtle animal welfare message woven into the story.
