Thanks for joining me Over Coffee
A writer by passion and profession, I've been writing since I was old enough to know how, so establishing a weblog
seemed a natural progression. By adding a blog to my site, I can speak about my passions and life, share my writing, art
and photos, and comment on current events.

Best Achievement in Directing Yeah, baby!
I'd like to write something elegant and stirring at this point about the beautiful epic Jackson has created, of the wonderfully stirring performance he and his fellow screenwriters brought out in their actors*, and of how moved I've been watching the story of J.R.R. Tolkien brought to life on the big screen, but all I can really think is--yeah, baby!
*I'd also like to see Sean Astin win "Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role" by an overwhelming write-in vote by academy members, but...I won't hold my breath. While it truly was an ensemble cast, it was also a cast of leading performers (and performances). Several, if not all, the main characters in the trilogy qualify as being "an actor in a leading role." As it is, Johnny Depp winning would be a neat trick given the momentum (and PR machine) behind Murray, the reputation of Kingsley and the dramatic roles the both Penn and Law tackled.
UPDATE: Sean Penn wins. Is it just me or is he starting to turn into Robert DeNiro?
