Watching the 76th Academy Awards Over Coffee Phil and I are enduring Billy Crystal (please Billy, no more songs) to see Lord of the Rings take best picture this year. Unfortunately, none of the impressive performances in the final film in the trilogy will be recognized by the Academy. So far, Tim Robbins showed great restraint in his acceptance speech, and I was quite appreciative of his comment and plea that those who are suffering abuse not be ashamed but seek help. And, the commercials -- which are carefully monitored by the Academy -- are already much funnier, in my opinion than those aired during the Super Bowl. [ ] # posted by Leigh-AnneD @ 9:02 PM |
