Thanks for joining me Over Coffee
A writer by passion and profession, I've been writing since I was old enough to know how, so establishing a weblog
seemed a natural progression. By adding a blog to my site, I can speak about my passions and life, share my writing, art
and photos, and comment on current events.

Knitting a Bit I would be remiss if I did not take time to thank Kris at Web-Goddess.org and Teresa at HatARama for helping me obtain feedback by sharing information about the "Knit Your Bit" Knitting kit, which the American Red Cross is going to be releasing this Memorial Day in honor of the millions of volunteer knitters who supported the nation and troops during World War II by knitting socks, sweaters and other comfort apparel.
I e-mailed them, knowing them to be much more knowledgable knitters than I am, to get their opinions of the kit. Both wrote back right away to say they loved it and offering to share it with their readers. The feedback that resulted was great and helpful. Watch the news, Redcross.org and here for updates and information on ordering. And please feel free to share the information EVERYWHERE. Of course, proceeds from the sale of the kits will go towards supporting the mission of the Red Cross.
As for my own skills in the needle arts...well, I've been sewing and crocheting since I was a wee kid--maybe 5 or 6, and like doing both. Even those are not at the level of my two crafting blogpals. Anyway, a few years ago, I endeavored to teach myself to knit. I have managed to learn the basics and enjoy the feel of it, but I'm not much good at it...yet.
