Keepin' a Sense of Humor... Karl likely to go from Tropical Storm to Hurricane in the next 24 hours.
Well, I reckon the good news is that it seems Karl isn't lookin' like a threat...
WECT-TV6 - Tropical Storm Karl Staying Over Open Atlantic: "Tropical Storm Karl continues in the far eastern Atlantic. Although Karl should become a hurricane, it will stay far to the east of the U.S. and over the open waters of the eastern Atlantic."
Update - Sept 21: "Hurricane Karl has regained category 4 status over the eastern Atlantic (max winds 140 MPH, moving N-NW @ 12 MPH). There should be no direct impact in the U.S. from Karl, other then some increased swells later in the week. -- WECT-TV6
