Jesse Donald Knotts (July 21, 1924 - Feb. 24, 2006) Don Knotts, best know for his bumbling, hapless, innocent roles in television and films, was well loved by fans and will be missed by many. Many of my earliest memories include Don Knotts. Watching black-and-white reruns of "Andy Griffith" on a weeknight before or after dinner. Catching an airing of "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" on a Saturday afternoon. Sitting in a dark movie theater, eating popcorn and watching the "Apple Dumpling Gang," "Herbie" and "The Shakiest Gun in the West." Thank you for the laughter, Mr. Knotts.
